Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer with 2 - 3 years of experience who has

hands-on expertise in Selenium and working familiarity with Playwright. The ideal candidate

will design, build, and maintain automated test suites, collaborate closely with the QA and

development teams, and help strengthen our regression and functional testing coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver

• Support and contribute to test automation using Playwright where applicable

• Execute automated regression suites and analyse test results

• Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution using JIRA/ODO

• Collaborate with QA analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios

• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks (Page Object Model)

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Prepare test execution reports and communicate status to the QA Lead/Management.

Required Skills

• 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation

• Expert-level proficiency in Selenium WebDriver (Java or Python bindings)

• Working familiarity with Playwright (willing to grow expertise)

• Strong understanding of Java or JavaScript fundamentals

• Familiarity with Test case design, defect lifecycle, version control (Git) and CI/CD tools

(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)

Good to Have

• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter)

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman or Swagger)

• Good understanding of testing types: functional, regression, smoke, sanity

• Basic understanding of AI-assisted testing tools/workflows

• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills — able to clearly report defects, blockers, and test status

• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively within a QA team

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
